Students Outside at Lunch
ALL STUDENTS (K-12) WILL BE OUTSIDE DURING THE NOON HOUR. Please make that you are dressed appropriately for the weather conditions. If it is rainy or below 0 (that includes wind chill factor) students will then be inside.
Our 2017 yearbooks have arrived and they definetly highlight the many adventures the school had in the 2016-17 school year.
The books will be $25.00 again this year and will be handed out once the school year starts. If you didn't pre-order one, you can talk to Ms. Moos this fall or e-mail her at email@example.com and let her know how many you want and if you will be sending someone with a check or cash for payment.

Savage Public School believes that increased communication between school and home increases the productivity and academic success of each student. One tool we use is our student information system called Power School which allows you to track your child’s grades, absences, and tardiness on a daily basis. Your child will have his or her own log in and password and you, as their parent, will have yours. The URL for this site is:
savage.powerschool.com (There is always a tab in the upper left hand column on the home page of this website that is for Power School login.)
If you do not know your log-in or your child’s log-in, contact the school office so we can assist you.

Checking Your Students Grades and Attendance
We have recently implemented a new school notification system called Alert Solutions. This notification system is loaded with new features that will make it easier for us to keep in contact with your family. To guarantee the messaging system is used efficiently, we will need to confirm your contact information is accurate and up-to-date at all times.
Alert Solutions allows our school to send messages using email, voice, and text messaging. Voice calls will be sent with 406-776-2317 as the caller ID number. You may want to add this phone number to your address book to help you recognize incoming calls from the school easily. Text messages will be sent using a caller ID of 95664 (US) or 25379 (Canada). International receipt caller IDs will vary on location. You may want to add this phone number to your address book as well. Please note you will not be able to reply to text messages sent from the school.
Alert Solutions is integrated with the existing PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you log-on to the Parent Portal you will now see a new link called “Alert Solutions 2”. You will be able to see all the contact information our school has listed for you. Within this section of the Parent Portal, you will also be able to choose your communication preferences based on message category, such as School Closures or Attendance, and message type (email, voice and/or text message). You may opt-out of any message category except for Emergency Messages.
Setting up your parent preferences is your responsibility. To receive text messages, you must go to Preferences by Message Type and Click and hold to drag the contact information above to the appropriate boxes below. By default, phone calls and email are chosen. You will receive messages to every contact field shown and every message category that has all three message types chosen. Tolls and charges associated with receipt of messages from the school are your responsibility and not the responsibility of the school. Please be sure to set your unique preferences if there are any numbers or addresses you do not like to be contacted at. All phone numbers and email addresses must be in a valid format to save properly.
Emergency messages are always sent with all three message types (email, text, and voice calls) and to every contact field shown even if you have opted out. We cannot change this. Emergency messages will be labeled as such so you will know it is an actual emergency.
If you do not have access to log into the Parent Portal, you may contact the school directly to request changes.

Basketball Team Photos
Elementary, Junior High, and High School Basketball team and individual photos were taken Friday, January 19th. If you didn't order them ahead of time, you may purchase them when the proofs arrive in 4-5 weeks.

Financial Aid INFO
We wanted to remind you to register for a Financial Aid Information Night!
You can do so on the Bank of North Dakota (BND) website or stop by the BND booth at the college fair you attend. We will be happy to set up the date with you at that time.
The one-hour, live video conference is led by a BND staff member Tuesday evenings, October 3 - November 14, 2017, from 6-7 p.m. MT. We won't have a session October 31, so you can enjoy trick or treating. See you soon!

It's a new year, which means renewing your door code. Please see the office for Adult Exercise/Gym Use procedures forms to
re-activate your code.
Savage School District
Use of school facilities for school purposes has precedence over all other uses.
School district exercise facilities will be available for public use from 3:30 pm-9:00 pm Monday through Friday and from 8:00-9:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday except in the event that the facilities are being used for school district activities during these times. Use must have completed and signed a Savage School District Facility Use Agreement prior to use of the facilities.
